Tips to protect your equipment from Lightning surge.
This is my personal opinion getting from basic information to protect equipment from lightning surge.

when SPD become short condiiton
Disconnector of SPD
・Does not turn off or chattering of contact when surge currnt goes through it.
・Disconnect circuit, if SPD becomes short condition to prevent damage of other equipment.
・Have a enough breaking capacity depending upon
capacity of transfomer, wire size and distance from the transformer to SPD.
SPD can not protect equipment, if outside disconnector turns off or be chattering the contact during surge currnt going through SPD. Outside disconnector should turn off if SPD becomes short condition due to big surge current.
Earth lekage disconnector may turn off confusing surge cuurnt is leakage current.
Some Earth leakage disconnector have capability to separate earth leakage and surge current.
We recomend the manufactures if you have to use earth leakage diesconnector for the circuit installed SPD.
